Knitting blogs I like

I started this list of knitting blogs because I keep forgetting why I bookmark certain blogs and it takes too much time to retrace my steps. What better way to keep track than to “file” these knitting blogs together with notations about why and what I like about them.

Blogs with free knitting patterns

  1. Little Theorem – Geek Chick Knitting Patterns
Little Theorem is a blog by a final year maths PhD student at Glasgow University (but living in Edinburgh), knitting to keep her mind off moduli spaces of quiver representations! This blog has free knitting patterns and good photos of finished projects and in-betweens. All patterns are copyrighted and for personal use only.
  2. Spud and Chloe Blog – sweet yarns for real life
Spud & Chloe is a line of luxury yarns. The blog contains a collection of free knitting patterns featuring the Spud & Chloe yarns. Quirky designs in bright cheery colours. I fell in love with them instantly.
  3. Sam Lamb’s blog – baa, and all things woolly
This knitting blog is simple yet tastefully done. There is something calming about it. The blogger claimed to be addicted to all things small and made of wool. Not all the posts are about knitting but there are a few delightful baby knitting patterns.
  4. Pickles.No
Pickles is a Norwegian blog with lovely knitting patterns. Many of them are baby knitting patterns, oooh. The patterns are all free (from what I can see) with lovely pictures of the finished objects. The patterns were originally in Norwegian but there is a list with English instructions. They also sell yummy yarns.
  5. Jennifer Casa’s knitting
This is Jennifer Casa’s knitting patterns section on her blog. She has 2 girls so it is no surprise that she has quite a few really nice projects for young girls.

If you think you have or know a knitting blog that I would like, do leave me a message and I’ll check it out.
